Start a Straw Bale Garden (Complete How-to)

You can start a straw bale garden with a bale of straw and some fertilizer. Straw bale gardening offers a unique and innovative way to garden. Straw bales act as raised garden beds can be set up almost everywhere. But I made A TON of mistakes when I started my raised bed garden, so I figured I’d share them with you so you can hopefully learn from my mistakes instead of making them yourself.

A few good soil mixes:
– 1/3 perlite, 1/3 coco coir, 1/3 compost
– 1/2 topsoil, 1/4 compost, 1/4 grass clippings, straw, leaves, etc.
